Dr. Berg talks about iron deficient anemia. It could be a lowered RBCs, heme or a decreased ability to carry oxygen. The symptoms include: fatigue, the need to chew ice, weak, shortness of breath and looking pale.

It could be caused by blood loss (menstruation, trauma or medication), a fibroid, infection, genetic or….a decreased absorption.
The big cause is lowered stomach acid (low HCL). Anti-acids can keep your stomach too alkaline preventing the absorption of iron. This is why apple cider vinegar to help this. Oxalates can also bind and block iron. Phytic acid can also do this. Gastirc bypass surgery can decrease the surface of the digestive system. GI problems (chrons, celiac disease, IBS)
